Scholarships
We believe that academic ability, commitment, and potential should be recognised and supported. Our scholarship provision is designed to reward merit, encourage aspiration, and widen access to a Westerfield education for students who demonstrate exceptional promise.
Scholarships at Westerfield are competitive, transparent, and merit-based. They are awarded following a structured assessment process and are reviewed regularly to ensure fairness and academic integrity.

- £3,500 for A-Level students
- £3,500 for Pre-Medical Foundation students
- £2,500 for University Foundation Programme students
The exact award offered is determined by the strength of the applicant’s academic profile and assessment outcomes.

Scholarships are open to:
- UK and international students
- Applicants who have received (or are in the process of receiving) an offer of admission to Westerfield College

To be considered, applicants must demonstrate:
- Strong academic results in relevant subjects

How Scholarships Are Awarded
Scholarship decisions are made through a holistic review process, which may include:
- Review of academic transcripts and predicted grades
- Performance in entrance assessments (where applicable)
- Personal statement and academic motivation
- Interview with academic or admissions staff
This ensures that scholarships are awarded not simply on grades alone, but on a student’s overall academic readiness and potential for success at Westerfield.
Maintaining a Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded on the understanding that recipients will:
- Maintain strong academic performance
- Demonstrate positive engagement and conduct
- Meet attendance and progression expectations
Scholarships may be reviewed annually and can be adjusted or withdrawn if the required standards are not met.
This approach ensures that scholarship support remains fair and aligned with academic excellence.
What Scholarships Do Not Cover
To ensure clarity and transparency, scholarships:
- Apply only to tuition fees
- Do not cover accommodation, feeding, examination fees, or personal expenses
- Cannot be combined with other discounts unless explicitly stated
Full fee details for each programme are available on the relevant programme pages.
